On 10th May 2025, the Rotary Club of Garuga celebrated a remarkable milestone as it installed its 4th President, Rtn. Frank Mulindwa, in a colorful and inspiring ceremony. The event marked the handover of leadership from outgoing President Rtn. Aidah Namaya, whose year of service left a legacy of impactful projects and strengthened fellowship within the club.
Held under the theme “Unite for Good” with the tagline “Together, One Act at a Time,” the installation brought together Rotarians, Rotaractors, partners, and well-wishers to witness a new chapter in the club’s journey of service. Guests were treated to a blend of fellowship, celebration, and reflection on the transformative role Rotary continues to play in communities.
In her farewell address, Rtn. Aidah thanked the members for their support and highlighted the key achievements of her term, including community health outreach, education initiatives, and environmental projects. She encouraged the club to remain committed to the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self.
Taking the mantle, President Frank Mulindwa shared his vision for the coming year, emphasizing membership growth, impactful service projects, and partnerships that enhance sustainability. “We may not change the world in one day, but together, one act at a time, we will create ripples of hope and transformation,” he said, echoing the event’s theme.
The ceremony also featured moving tributes to the club’s journey since its chartering, recognizing how far it has come in just a few years. Entertainment, networking, and moments of joy added to the festive atmosphere, reaffirming Rotary’s ability to blend purpose with fellowship.
As RC Garuga embarks on this new Rotary year under President Mulindwa’s leadership, the club looks poised to continue driving change, nurturing friendships, and uniting people of goodwill. The installation served not only as a leadership transition but also as a reminder that Rotary’s mission thrives when members stand together, serving humanity one act at a time.
