Uplift Nalugala Health Center

The Uplift Nalugala Health Center project is designed to improve reproductive health services, maternal care, and child health for the residents of Nalugala village in Wakiso District, Uganda. With a population of approximately 250,000, largely comprising women and children, the community faces significant challenges related to healthcare access. Most of the population consists of peasant farmers with limited income and education, who often must travel long distances on foot to reach Nalugala Health Centre II, the area’s primary healthcare facility.

The project aims to enhance the accessibility, affordability, and quality of healthcare services provided at Nalugala Health Centre II. By focusing on improving maternal and child health services, the initiative seeks to address the critical healthcare needs of women and children in the community, ensuring they receive the care they need. Through this effort, the project hopes to improve health outcomes, reduce maternal and child mortality rates, and contribute to a healthier, more resilient community in Nalugala.
