Rotary Garuga has grown from 60 founding members into a thriving, diverse community of professionals and leaders — and we’re always looking for people who share our passion for service.
Membership is open to individuals of all backgrounds and professions who believe in “Service Above Self.” Prospective members are welcome to visit a meeting, meet our Rotarians, and see our work firsthand before being proposed by a current member — the standard path into any Rotary club.
What Membership Looks Like
- Weekly fellowship and planning meetings — Fridays, 7:30–8:30 AM at Wilna Motel, Garuga Road
- Quarterly board meetings and leadership development, including retreats like our "Weekend Learning Experience"
- Hands-on involvement in local service projects across education, health, and community development
- Access to Rotary's global network of clubs, resources, and partnerships
- Family and corporate membership options, plus close ties with our Rotaract Club for younger leaders
Why Members Stay
Our members tell us it's the combination of purpose and belonging — real projects with visible impact, alongside genuine friendships built through shared service. From social outings like our Minibus Retreat to Jinja to milestone celebrations like installing our first woman president, fellowship is at the heart of everything we do.
