Our History
Rotary Club of Garuga was chartered on 3 December 2021, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nkumba, with which it shares a charter date and an enduring partnership. The club began with about 60 members drawn from diverse professional backgrounds, all united by a shared commitment to service.
In December 2024, Garuga held its first joint “Charter Night” celebration with RC Nkumba, marking three years of growth and honoring the milestones achieved along the way. Since then, the club has continued to break new ground:
Each of these milestones reflects the same forward-looking, inclusive spirit that has defined Garuga since its founding.
Garuga installed its third president — and the club's first woman president — under the theme "The Magic of Rotary."
Rtn. Frank Mulindwa was installed as the club's fourth president.
Garuga led the launch of two new Rotary clubs in formation, extending its leadership across the district.
Nathanael Kasozi will be installed as President, having already joined the leadership team as President-Nominee.
